Governor Information Mornings
This year, we have introduced Governor Information Mornings. These are termly events where the Governors are welcomed into school to learn of the progress we are making, both in terms of meeting our School Improvement Plan targets, and in terms of wider school improvement.
On Monday 21st November, we held the first of these sessions and it was very successful. Here are some reports from our governors at the end of the morning's session.
"I understood what has been out in place to make improvements in priority areas, making me confident that we are working towards a good level of teaching and learning across school. The children were universally engaged in their lessons. They feel supported by staff both personally and with their learning. Staff were very aware of the needs of each child in their class and were responding accordingly."
"Delighted to see (across the school) intentional, purposeful learning taking place.....Every classroom evidences calm and engaged behaviour from pupils and a clear focus on the task by the class teacher."
"Classoom displays are cohesive and really used to support teaching and learning."
"I really appreciate the opportunity to see the Head's vision and evidence of progression in the School Improvement Plan."
"Exceptionally helpful morning as a governor to keep up to date with key areas of school improvement."
"The new reading scheme is showing a positive impact already and I am excited to see the direction the school is taking."
"A warm and safe environment with appropriate, stimulating displays."
We are really pleased to have welcomed our governors in, and look forward to repeating this morning at the end of the Spring Term.
