Attendance Letters - December

Dear Parents/Carers,

This week some letters regarding attendance will be sent out, as we are required to do. 

We fully recognise the prevalence of coughs, colds and viruses circulating at the moment and that these can affect attendance. Although you as parents are of course the best judges of whether your child is too ill to attend, please be reassured that we can look after children who are "a bit under the weather" or had a bad night - we're happy for them to stay inside in the warm at breaks, for example.

We do also want to support with any issues that might be affecting attendance, such as school refusal or tricky mornings, because absences really do impact on children's achievement. Next half term, we will be carrying out full attendance reviews and may invite you in for a chat if attendance appears to be an ongoing concern.
