Attendance Letters - March

Dear Parents/Carers,

We will shortly be sending out letters to parents whose children's attendance has dropped below 90% or was previously below 90% and has not yet risen above that threshold.

I am highly aware that there has been a lot of illness in school lately and, as a result, some children have been absent more than they might otherwise have. 

Attendance letters are not intended to cause distress or worry, but it is required of us to keep you informed of your child's attendance rate, if it is dropping below 90% (categorised as "persistent absence.") The levels of persistent absence are something a school is judged on.

If you would like to discuss anything related to attendance, please do drop me an email. Some parents have already done so and we have been able to put things in place that are having a massive impact on attendance.
