Fun in the Wilderness...
The children have had an action-packed few days so far and everyone has behaved brilliantly and pushed themselves to achieve, even when this was tough.
On Monday the children took part in a range of team building activities in the afternoon after putting up their bell tents in the morning (which was very amusing to observe).
During Tuesday the children travelled to Tittensor reservoir where they completed water sports (kayaking and paddle-boarding) in the morning and orienteering in the afternoon.
Today, the children went out on a trip to the Roaches where they took part in weaselling (a trek involving squeezing through holes and gaps) and a walk to one of the highest peaks in the area. Legs are aching but all of the children are very proud of what they have achieved.
During the final few days we are all looking forward to archery, climbing, bush craft and tracking. All of the staff have commented on how well behaved the children have been and how well they have come together as a team
The children are very much looking forward to sharing all of their experiences with you when they return on Friday (and also getting to sleep in their comfy beds)!
Photos to be uploaded as soon as we return to a place with a reliable wireless connection!
Many thanks
Mr Gibbs
