Going home arrangements - all year groups

Dear Parents/Carers,

We would like to share a few reminders regarding end-of-day arrangements to ensure that all children are kept safe at this particularly busy time of day.

Collection by an adult

Please be reminded that children must be collected by an adult over the age of 18, unless specific alternative arrangements have been agreed with Mrs Fussell.

If you would like a different adult to collect your child, for example another parent, it is essential that you inform the school office in advance. If this is to be a regular arrangement, please let us know and we can add this information to your child's records.

Please do not be concerned if your child is asked to wait for a short time while we confirm an unexpected collection arrangement. Safeguarding our children is paramount, and staff must be satisfied that every child is leaving school with an authorised adult.

Years 5 and 6 – walking home independently

Children in Years 5 and 6 may walk home from school unaccompanied, provided that we have received permission from a parent/carer. All children in Years 5 and 6 will be given a permission form to bring home on Thursday.

For our Year 6 pupils, existing permissions from last academic year will continue to apply unless you inform us otherwise before Thursday.

For our Year 5 pupils, children will be able to walk home independently as soon as we have received the completed permission form.
