JTMAT Excellence Project - Summer 1

We are excited to invite pupils to take part in the JTMAT Primary Geography Subject Excellence Project – My Town, My Place.

This creative competition encourages children to explore a place that is special to them and present it as a “mental map” using a medium of their choice. This could include drawing, painting, collage, digital media or even video.

Pupils are asked to think carefully about:

• What they can see, smell and hear in their chosen place
• How it makes them feel
• Why it is important to them

This is a fantastic opportunity for children to combine geography, creativity and personal reflection, developing a deeper understanding of place and belonging.

There are certificates, badges and prizes to be won, and all entries should be submitted to class teachers by Tuesday 6th May.

We look forward to seeing the imaginative and thoughtful ways our pupils represent the places that matter most to them!
