Letter from Miss Wilson
Dear Parents/Carers,
As we have reached the end of the third week back, I am writing to share a brief update of how the year is progressing so far.
Happily, I have received many kind positive comments from several of you about the good start children have had to the year, and how settled they are with their new teachers. Where there have been minor issues, these appear to have been resolved quickly.
As you know, we became a partner in the JTMAT this year. As of yet, you may not have seen many changes to this effect yet. However, in school (the office in particular!) the changes are dramatic and significant. Mrs Tilley and Mrs Jones have been working relentlessly to ensure our systems now align with the MATs, which is no small task!
As the year goes on, you will hopefully begin to notice an increase in opportunities for your children to participate in multi-school events. Teaching techniques and curriculum content will continue to develop and improve as we learn from our colleagues in JTMAT schools. Despite this very busy period of transition, we are all still extremely pleased to have become a part of the Trust.
In other good news, the local artist who has been working on our beautiful new sign for the front of the building, has informed us this is finished! We look forward to a grand unveiling very shortly. We are particularly excited about this as it has been completely designed by the children.
Over the weekend, I am going to let you know about a significant project that will be taking place in school this year. It is going to involve a lot of fundraising, but I feel it will result in something the school can truly be proud of, so keep your eyes peeled for an update....
As always, please keep in touch about any aspects of your child's education or wellbeing.
Happy weekend from all staff!
Miss E Wilson
