News on our Application to Join JTMAT
Dear Parents/Carers,
You may recall last term that following our OFSTED report and our need to be pro-active about making real and sustained school improvement, I informed you we were in the early stages of exploring joining the John Taylor MAT.
I am pleased to say that over the Christmas break, the application to academise was approved. I have attached the academy order for your information.
Now begins a complex process and we will take our guidance from the MAT and the DfE in terms of the best way to proceed. There are several important steps we must take, not least giving staff and parents the chance to find out exactly what academising means, to ask any questions and share any concerns. As soon as we can, we will arrange the consultations and ensure everyone is invited.
