Road Safety - Furlong Close - Please Read

We have had some reports from parents lately about unsafe driving outside school during pick-up/drop-off hours, which is a real hazard for families walking to school at this time. 

We are all aware that Furlong Close is very narrow and far from ideal as a school drop-off point, which makes it even more important that it is accessed safely and with respect to other drivers and pedestrians. 

Where possible, we ask parents to walk children to school. Another option is to park slightly further away and walk the remaining distance. 

Please do not stop on the yellow zig-zags.

Above all, please drive slowly. We all know that at peak times, there are a lot of parents and children crossing the road. Everyone arriving at or leaving school has the right to be safe while doing so.
