Seeking Your Views - All Saints' Vision and Values

Dear Parents/ Carers/ Relatives,

What do the words below mean to you?

With the teachings of Jesus as our guide, we embrace a creative and ambitious curriculum to ignite a passion for learning.  We prepare our children for a rapidly changing world by equipping them with critical and creative thinking skills, independence, resilience and respect for our core school values.

Some of you may recognise this as our current School Christian Vision.

How about these words?

Forgiveness, Love, Thankfulness, Friendship, Respect, Trust, Koinonia.

These, as you may know, are our Christian values. As a school, we regularly refer to these and celebrate them in our worships. A school’s vision and values should encapsulate every aspect of its ethos and character.

As part of our ongoing reflection of ourselves a Church of England School, we believe that as times change, so must our Vision. At All Saints, we believe the perspectives and voices of all of our school community should be heard, as we look to renew the words of our Vision to reflect who we are today.

We would like to warmly invite you to join us to actively share your thoughts in a relaxed, open session in school. This session will be held on Friday 10^th May at 2:30pm.

In preparation for this session, you may like to give the following areas some thought, and consider how you see these themes being lived in our school:

• Ø Dignity and respect: Everyone matters, God loves us all no matter how small.
• Ø Community and Living Well Together: We all need each other. Wellbeing.
• Ø Hope and Aspiration: Love and forgiveness are always there. New start for all. We can aim high. Be the best we can be.
• Ø Wisdom, Knowledge and Skills: Never give up on learning. Using knowledge well – ethics as well as wisdom.
• Ø God who connects/underpins the other four.

Please note, EVERYONE is welcome to this session, whether you are Christian, of another faith or no faith. As a Church of England school we welcome all, therefore a wide range of viewpoints can only be of benefit.
