Staffing News

Dear Parents/Carers,

Thank you for your support over the course of this year. I am delighted to see that (for once!) a period of incredible weather and the school holidays seem to have coincided! I very much hope you and your children are able to get outside and make the most of it.

I am writing to share some staffing news, as we know how important a smooth transition process is for our children as they move into their new year groups.

At the end of this academic year, Mr Gibbs will be leaving All Saints’ as he and his family will be relocating across the country. Mr Gibbs has secured an Assistant Headship in his new school. Whilst we are of course delighted for him, we will be very sad to lose both a colleague and friend who has worked tirelessly for the families of Alrewas over the last nine years.

As well as his roles as Assistant Headteacher and SENDCo, Mr Gibbs has led a range of subjects and supported our school community in countless ways. His commitment to our children and families has been greatly valued and he will be very much missed.

I am aware that many families work closely with Mr Gibbs in his role as SENDCo. Planning for this transition has been in place for some time and, next term, significant transition work will take place between Mr Gibbs and our new SENDCo to ensure continuity and a smooth handover for children and families.

In addition to this, I must also share that Mr Baker will be leaving us as he and his family are also relocating. Mr Baker joined us part-way through the year in unexpected circumstances and has made a wonderful impact on our team. He has built excellent relationships with our fantastic Year 4 pupils and we will be extremely sorry to say goodbye.

Whilst we are saying goodbye to valued members of staff, we are equally excited to welcome new colleagues to All Saints’. You may have seen that we have been recruiting for new teachers. I will share staffing arrangements and class structures for September with you as soon as possible. As always, thank you for your support – it is much appreciated.
