Staffing for 2024-25 and Transition
Dear Parents/Carers,
As we enter our final half term of the Academic year, we start to think about the process of children transitioning to their new classes and getting to know their new teachers.
For most children, transition will involve completing All About Me posters so that the new teacher can learn about their pupils before meeting them. Teachers will also spend time in their new classes reading stories to pupils. Additionally, our whole school Transition day will be taking place on July 1st (further info to follow on this).
Some children may find transition a trickier or more worrying prospect, and therefore require enhanced transition activities. If this is the case, your teacher will make contact with you to explain additional activities that will be taking place to support this. If you feel your child is worrying about transition, please do speak to their current teacher. We spend a lengthy session as a staff completing handover where important information about all children is relayed from the current teacher to the next one, to ensure good practices are not lost from year to year.
