Suncream

Dear Parents/Carers,

This term, as always, we hope for blue skies, warm weather and sunshine but we also want to avoid burned skin! 

Our policy on suncream is as follows:

• Parents should apply suncream before school on sunny days.
• If parents wish, children may bring a named bottle of suncream to school and it can remain in their bag until needed.
• Children are encouraged (KS1/2) or supervised (EYFS) to reapply before lunch or afternoon outdoor activities.
• Staff will generally not apply suncream to children, except in exceptional circumstances or where specific arrangements have been agreed.
• Children should bring a sun hat/cap.
• Children should bring their water bottle.
• Outdoor activities may be moved into shaded areas during periods of intense sun.
