Term-time Holidays/JTMAT Policies

Dear Parents/Carers, 

I am writing to advise you that next academic year, when we finally become part of the JTMAT, we will be adopting all of their policies. Alongside these policies, we will have sets of School Procedures, which will outline how these policies will be implemented in school. I am drawing your attention to these now because the number of holiday requests we are currently receiving is very high. These are always unauthorized as I am only permitted to authorize in exceptional circumstances. Our current Attendance policy states that these will be unauthorized and may be subject to a penalty notice. However, currently, we have not submitted any referrals for Fixed Penalty Notices (fines). 

When we are part of the MAT and acquire support in managing attendance, this may no longer be the case and parents taking their children on holiday in term time may be subject to a fine. 

I am advising parents of this now as I'm aware people will be looking to book their holidays for next year. If you have any queries about this, please do get in touch.
