The Code Show is coming to All Saints!

We are excited to announce that on Thursday 9th February, we are welcoming The Code Show into school.

The Code Show is a hands-on, fascinating roadshow who visit schools to teach children about early computing technology. They arrive at school first thing in the morning with approximately 15-18 vintage computers including processors, consoles, typewriters and Sony Walkmans (apparently these are now considered "vintage!").

They start the day with a whole school assembly explaining how computers have developed over the decades, and then each class will have a chance to visit the Code Show, which will be set up in the mobile classroom.

He will remain set up until approximately 4:30pm so after school, parents are welcome to come and have a look with children and play with the technology. Apparently this can be very nostalgic for parents who grew up when these items were considered cutting-edge...

There is a small cost of £2.70 attached to this event. A payment link has been set up in ParentPay. Please note, if your child is in receipt of Free School Meals, this payment is not applicable.
