Twinkl Reading Scheme Books

Dear Parents/Carers,

As you know, at the end of last year, we invested in the Twinkl Phonics Scheme and the accompanying reading books - Rhino Readers. 

From conversations with many of you, and with the children, I am pleased with how popular these are proving. 

However, we have found ourselves reaching a point where there are not enough titles in some sub-levels. Twinkl have assured us new titles are being created, however these will not arrive as soon as we would like. Looking online, it appears many schools are finding this, as well.

Mrs Palmer, therefore, spent a significant amount of time last week going through our previous reading scheme and matching some of those titles up with the sub levels in our current system. These have now been labelled accordingly and added to our current Rhino Readers.

This means that your child may bring home a reading book that is from our old scheme. I would like to reassure you that the sounds within the book do match up with the sounds your child will be working on. Other schools have taken this approach while the issues with the Twinkl titles is resolved.
