Updated guidance on PE and Earrings

Dear Parents/Carers,

I am writing to share guidance on earrings and PE, received from the Trust, which we will be implementing at All Saints with immediate effect. Going forward, the important bits for parents to be aware of are as follows:

> No children should be wearing earrings for their PE lessons, sporting clubs after school or sports matches.

> We cannot allow children to participate with tape over earrings, whether this is done at home or by the child at school.

> If children cannot remove their own earrings, they will unfortunately only be allowed to participate in parts of the lesson which are not physical, e.g. evaluating gym routines. 

We would strongly suggest that children simply do not wear earrings on days where they have a PE lesson. As always, the advice remains from school to consider getting children's ears pierced during the Summer holidays.
