Welcome Back to our Families - September 2026

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back!

I hope that you have all enjoyed a happy and restful summer break. It is wonderful to welcome our children and families back to All Saints’ for the start of a new school year, and I would particularly like to extend a very warm welcome to all of the children and families joining our school community for the first time.

We are incredibly excited about the year ahead. We ended the last academic year on a real high following both our SIAMS and Ofsted inspections, which recognised so many of the things that make All Saints’ such a special place.

Our SIAMS inspection similarly recognised All Saints’ as a “warm and welcoming school where each pupil is known and loved.” This is something of which we are enormously proud. They reflect the hard work and commitment of our staff, the support of our families and, most importantly, the wonderful children who make our school what it is.

As always, we will continue to place a strong emphasis on attendance. Regular attendance makes an enormous difference to children's learning, friendships and wellbeing. Ofsted recognised that attendance at All Saints’ is high and that pupils enjoy coming to school, and we want to build upon this further during the year ahead.

Key Messages

  • Over the Summer, we said goodbye to our Wraparound Manager, Miss Morroll, as she moves onto a new opportunity in Derbyshire. We would like to thank Miss Morroll for everything she has done here at All Saints and wish her all the very best for the future.

  • As you will know, we are currently having extensive renovation works carried out in the Nursery/Wraparound area. While the Nursery work is complete, the work in the Wraparound area will continue into this half term. This means that Wraparound will take place in the mobile for this half term. Children/parents should access this in the morning via the KS2 gate and be collected from here in the afternoon session. Please use the doorbell at the gate for attention.

  • Please be reminded that the kitchen will no longer be able to offer breaktime snacks and that any breaktime snacks should be brought in from home. We encourage healthy choices throughout the school day, so please ensure that any breaktime snacks brought from home are healthy options. Please also remember we are a nut-free school; with several children and staff with significant allergies, this is particularly important.

  • At the end of last year, we sent a letter requesting parents to download the My Child at School app. Going forward, we will be increasingly using this app for communication, for you to make payments, for booking parents’ evening, etc. At the appropriate points, we will keep you informed with plenty of notice when these changes are to take, but for the time being, we would appreciate parents downloading the app and registering at your earliest convenience.

  • As in previous years, teachers’ email addresses are provided on the class webpage to support communication between home and school. However, this only works on the basis that communication is courteous and mutually respectful. We ask that emails are used appropriately and with consideration for staff workload and working hours. Teachers will always endeavour to respond as soon as reasonably possible, but please remember that their priority during the school day is teaching and supporting the children in their care.

Finally, thank you for your continued support of All Saints’. The partnership between school and home is incredibly important to us, and we look forward to working with you throughout the year.

I hope that our children have a fantastic first few days back and that 2026–27 is another happy, successful and exciting year for All Saints’.

Warmest wishes,

Eleanor Fussell
