Physical Education

All Saints’ Alrewas C of E Primary and Nursery School's PE curriculum is designed to foster holistic development, emphasizing cognitive challenge, personal growth and a love of sport. The curriculum aims to instill fundamental movement knowledge while promoting a healthy lifestyle and lifelong skills. It encourages pupils to think critically about health and fitness, embedding values like leadership, fairness, and teamwork. Through a creative, inclusive, and challenging curriculum, every student receives two PE lessons per week, incorporating indoor and outdoor activities across all key stages. These range from a variety of ball games, striking and catching, team invasion and swimming.

The school's PE curriculum is aligned with national standards and focuses on developing competence, physical activity, engagement in competitive sports, and leadership skills. Beyond the curriculum, a structured school sport program broadens foundation learning, while several extra-curricular clubs extend our sports offer.

Outside of PE sessions in school, as a school we offer a widening range of sports clubs, matches and tournaments (both internally and externally (through our participation in the Dove Valley Association)) to a variety of ages throughout the school. The extracurricular program offers diverse activities, including competitive and non-competitive sports, problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork.
