Special educational needs and disabilities
At All Saints, we believe difference is an asset, and the inclusion of all children with a range of academic strengths and needs is a core part of our vision. We use our best endeavours to secure special educational provision for pupils for whom this is required, that is ‘additional to and different from’ that provided within the differentiated curriculum to better respond to the four areas of need identified in the Code of Practice (September 2014).
In addition to support provided in school through our dedicated staff, we also involve external experts when appropriate to ensure children's needs are met as quickly as possible. Similarly, staff access the most up to date training through the JTMAT and other sources to ensure best practice is employed with regards SEND.
At every step, we work hand in hand with parents in the knowledge that you are an expert on your child, and that the best outcomes are obtained when school and parents work in partnership. Our SENDCO is Mr Chris Gibbs and he can be reached at cgibbs@allsaints-alrewas.staffs.sch.uk
Our SEND policy is the JTMAT policy, which can be found HERE.
