Key Information
Homework is given out weekly in year 6. It is both given out and collected in every Monday.
For Maths this will often be in the form of an activity on MyMaths, however we will also be using the CGP SATS books to set activities for the children to complete as the year progresses. We will also set weekly spellings to be learnt at home. These spellings will be tested on a Monday.
Please encourage your child to read as much as possible outside of school. It would be useful for all children to read a range of genres and authors over the course of the year as this will develop their knowledge and understanding substantially. We expect all children to complete at least three reading entries per week and hope that children in our class will aim even higher than this and possibly target five entries per week. Children who complete five entries will be given three house points and children who complete three entries will be given one house point.
Our P.E. days will be on Wednesday (Indoor P.E) and Friday (Outdoor P.E). Children are allowed to wear suitable P.E kit to school on these days and remain in their P.E kit all day.
Spelling homework - due in 17/03/25:
cemetery, certificate, celebrate, necessary, deceased, December, sacrifice, hindrance, nuisance and prejudice.
