About Us

Mrs Knight and Mrs Turner are very excited to welcome you all to Eric Carle Nursery.

Eric Carle is our class author and our class name.

We are passionate about reading. We will change books once a week and the children will have two books to take home.  Please can you record what you and your child have discussed / experienced whilst reading in their reading record at least 3 times a week. Please can your child bring their reading books and reading record to school every day.

Children need to bring in their PE kit into school for Monday mornings and Friday afternoons (these will stay in school), as the children will be getting changed into them as part of our curriculum.  They will need to wear blacks shorts and a white t-shirt, with their school jumper or plain navy hoodie.  In addition, the children will need a pair of wellington boots to use during Forest Schools (these too will remain in school).

It will be a busy half term full of lots of new learning.  Our topic is ‘Getting to know Me’.  We can’t wait to get started!
